I just want to say a big Thank you to the owners of @Tsugaike Lodge. I had a two week stay, the lodge is clean and comfortable, the rooms were generous in size and the owners make you feel right at home.  The owners Mark and Heather have a great deal of local knowledge so they can help you with local attractions, eateries and they are located right near the snow fields.
I would highly recommend @Tsugaike

I stayed for 4 nights at @Tsugaike Lodge in April 2014. Could not have been happier with the accommodation and the hosts. The property is well located to the lifts, in season you can ski in ski out. I know the property is currently being renovated, but during my stay I was very happy with my room and all public areas. Marc and Heather went out of their way to ensure our holiday was the best it could be, given the time of year. The scenery in Tsugaike is sensational, and I really look forward to returning there for an in season ski holiday ASAP. A truly under-appreciated, under utilised ski resort (and therefore friendlier).

Holiday in Japan @Tsugaike - well worth the visit.  The hosts Marc and Heather will look after you and make sure you settle in, with lovely bedrooms and comfortable beds.  Beautiful surroundings.  All round a great place to visit.  Would go back again any day.

Wanting to send a HUUUGE shout out to Tsugaike! We had THE most amazing stay. Snow as I've never experienced in my life. The Lodge, @Tsugaike was warm and comfy, and the owners made our stay all that much more enjoyable by sharing their home with us. Food was sensational. Ski in/ski out accommodation in a beautiful location with picturesque surrounds. A wonderfully comfortable holiday with unexpected tours and friends that we have made for life (I hope)

@Tsugaike was warm and very welcoming. The owners were always very happy to help. The rooms were spacious and very warm with comfortable beds. Stones throw from the snow, and close to the village and all it has to offer

The lodge is very close to the Snow fields, and the gondola. All you need to do is walk out the front door and cross the road and there is the ski field. The scenery is amazing especially when the sun is rising and setting. The lodge is warm and cozy and the beds are comfy.

The Accommodation was excellent Family friendly and great family run lodge. Easy access to the Snow Fields, less then 50 metres to ski or board. Walking distance to the shops. Would recommend to all travellers visiting japan, looking forward to visiting again.
