Location - Tsugaike, the northern end of the Hakuba valley. |
Being located at the northern end of the Hakuba valley means we consistently receive more snow than southern areas ( check snowjapan's site for info http://www.snowjapan.com)
Blessed with an abundance of snow, great skiing terrain and the closeness to Cortina (4 Km) with true tree skiing, not available in most of Japan's ski resorts Iwatake (6 km) also offers some outstanding skiing with new powder areas opened in 2014 season Happo One (9 km) offering a big choice of terrain and the most vertical in the valley - and Hakuba 47 and Goryu further to the south of the valley. We are literally 35m from the ski slope with a short ski to the gondola and 2 chairlifts and also the shuttle bus area below the gondola station.
Shuttle buses run to Norikura and Cortina in the north and to Iwatake and Happo One in the south. There are a number of great Japanese restaurants, izakiya (Japanese pubs) and Onsens (hot baths) within easy walking distance from our lodge. Night shuttle buses run to the other resorts during the season and taxis are available till 1 am |
